HeARTfelt VA Inc. is a newly established organization created that brings the community together through education in the arts by offering opportunities for rural children to participate in a hands-on learning experience. The vision to build community through arts and experiences to empower communities to thrive. The organization will travel throughout the County for classes to make it accessible for more of the population. The organization focuses on community building as well as educational programs.
Our mission
HeARTfelt VA Inc. is a dedicated program committed to crafting exceptional experiences. Weekly classes are held for students of various ages at different locations. The classes vary from educational classes, wood working, art history, continuing education, nature based art, science, etc. The classes always include hands-on learning with various mediums, techniques, and can be accessible to anyone. Students' families sign up for each class on the events and come from all over various counties. The program started in January 2026 in Virginia, and became a nonprofit in March.
Our story
Hello- I'm Christa, the director of heARTfelt VA Inc. I'm a teacher, mom, homeschool parent, tiny house builder, the list could go on. I'm all about fun, hands on learning experiences. I love to be outdoors, travelling, and time with my family. I have directed a nonprofit with homeschoolers for educational experiences since 2023. The goal is to build community through arts, experiences, science, and more. Families need affordable options for their kids to get to experience various hands-on classes. Participating in art engages their senses for development of cognitive, social-emotional, and multi-sensory skills. It also provides brain development, self-esteem, and creativity. I also love planning field trips and experiments. Science helps children develop life skills including communicating, being organized, staying focused, and forming opinions on their observations. Field trips provide immersive, hands-on learning experiences, boost engagement, and foster critical thinking. They strengthen social-emotional skills like empathy, teamwork, and independence, while exposing students to new environments, cultures, and potential career.
